I’ve spent my career building companies, software, communities and creative projects outside the expected path. I founded the Launch Pad ecosystem, invested through Voodoo Ventures and spent five years writing Analog, a book about agency, joy and meaning, and a philosophy for building a life well lived while the world accelerates through AI and new technology.
I’m proud of the wins. I’ve learned just as much from the things that failed, the paths I abandoned and the moments when I had to change my mind.
I’m still building. AI has made this one of the most creatively interesting periods of my career, because small, high-agency teams can now make things that once demanded far more time and capital.
At Launch Pad Foundation, that work sits at the intersection of software, philanthropy and community. I’m building systems that help small organizations spend less time on administration and more time on the work they exist to do.
The life around the work.
Anne is my partner in that life—in family, creativity, community and the risks that make it ours. Together, we create gatherings like Cosmico and, from time to time, intimate places to think in Healdsburg and at Casa Del Arte in Todos Santos: music, walking, meals, long conversations and the kind of experience we don’t want to postpone until someday.
This matters to all of my work. I don’t believe success should consume the person, relationships and meaning that made it worth pursuing. The company matters. So does the life around it.
My perspective is hard-earned and lived: starting, investing, winning, losing, raising money, choosing not to raise money, changing direction and building a life with room for family, nature, music, community and joy.
I’m most useful to people facing a real decision—especially when the conventional answer no longer feels true.
